SHAFAQNA (Shia International News Association) – Al-Qaida affiliated armed rebels attacked 2 churches in Syria and burned their contents. The rebels pulled down the cross from a church in Al-Raqeh in the north and mounted their own flag in its place. According to Al-Aalam, Rami Abdurrahman the Head of so called Syrian Human Rights Watch said the armed rebels belong to “Iraq and Shaam Islamic government”. Last March the same terrorist group occupied the local government building and turned it to its headquarter. The elements of the terrorist group have attacked and destroyed many holy places belonging to Muslims and Christians. The same Al-Qaida affiliated Takfiri group kidnapped a priest who went to meet them and since then no one has seen him.
