SHAFAQNA (Shia International News Association) – In November 2013 the Muslims of Slovenia will start building their first Mosque after 40 years of waiting. The Mosque building is expected to be completed by 2016. The President of Slovenia said in a ceremony that building of the Mosque is a victory against all fanaticisms and Europe could not have reached to such a cultural state without Islam. The population of Slovenia is 2 million and 47000 Muslims live in the country. The first time Muslims submitted a plan to build a Mosque goes back to 4 decades ago which was rejected by the authorities of the time. The new Mosque will have halls as well as an Islamic school and the budget of 15.9 million dollars have been allocated for the entire project.
